Industrial Heat Pumps
MISTRAL air-to-air systems and packaged heat generation solutions for heating and cooling large spaces.

Plan heating and cooling around the same building needs
The first distinction is whether heat is delivered to air or to a water circuit. The second is between a new installation and a staged transition from existing equipment.
A workshop needing winter heating and summer cooling
A workshop operates throughout the year, but its existing heating does not address summer comfort. Air-based heating and cooling for the large space are considered together.
How the solution is selected
MISTRAL combines an outdoor heat-pump unit with an indoor air heater/cooler. Air distribution, outdoor placement, electrical supply and condensate drainage are planned together.
A heat source for a water-based system
The facility has radiant ceiling panels or other suitable water-based heating and cooling circuits. The task is to provide the water conditions those emitters require.
How the solution is selected
Packaged heat-generation solutions such as HGU are assessed against water temperatures, flows, buffer volume and pump arrangements. Existing emitters cannot be assumed to retain their output at lower water temperatures. Explore water-supplied radiant heating →
A staged transition from gas heating
The operator wants to reduce gas use while retaining existing air heaters.
How the solution is selected
Where approved by the manufacturer, a hybrid arrangement coordinates heat-pump and existing-heater operation. Outdoor conditions, energy tariffs and the load profile inform the decision.
Selection conditions
Compare more than nominal catalogue kW. Assess capacity at winter design temperature, defrost, electrical infrastructure, noise, maintenance access and any backup heating requirement. Savings and payback need a project-specific calculation.
What should you share?
Start with heat loss, summer cooling needs, site location, operating hours, the existing system and electrical supply.
A common question
Is a heat pump always cheaper to run?
No. Seasonal efficiency, energy prices, operating temperatures and annual use must be assessed together.
These are illustrative applications, not completed project references. Final selection is confirmed with current manufacturer data.
MARK product range
In production halls, warehouses and commercial spaces, system selection depends on more than nominal capacity. Outdoor conditions, indoor unit positions and air distribution are considered together. Elburz coordinates the suitable combination with MARK.
MISTRAL MDX 30/60
R32 air-to-air heat pump system combining indoor and outdoor units for large-space heating and cooling.
MISTRAL MDX 33/56
VRF-based air-to-air system with indoor and outdoor unit arrangements selected for the project.
HEAT GENERATION UNIT
Factory-preassembled heating and cooling package configured with R290 heat pumps.
Capacity and performance are checked at the selected outdoor conditions. Heat pumps can be considered together with air handling, recirculation and controls.
