Electric Air Heaters

Fan-assisted heating for spaces without gas or hot-water connections. Match comfort needs to available electrical capacity.

MARK TANNER MDE

Application scenario

Heat a space without gas or hot-water pipework

Illustrative scenario: A separate workshop or service area needs heating. There is no gas or hot-water connection, and a permanent air-heating solution using the electrical supply is being considered.

An electric air heater transfers heat into room air with a fan. Selection starts with heat loss, operating hours and the electrical power available.

No gas or water connection

Electrical supply and protection are designed for the selected equipment.

Heat the room air

Discharge direction and heater placement are planned together to serve the working area.

Follow the work schedule

Match heating to occupancy. Assess running costs using power, operating hours and the electricity tariff.

Where can it make sense?

Consider suitable workshops, service areas and commercial spaces. Check available electrical capacity, wiring and protection, mounting conditions and environmental suitability. For large spaces with long operating hours, compare total costs with gas, hot-water or heat-pump alternatives.

How does it differ from electric radiant heating?

An air heater warms room air with a fan. Radiant heating transfers heat to people and surfaces by radiation. Start with whether you need general air heating or comfort at a particular workstation.

Can it use an ordinary socket?

The supply must match the equipment specification. MARK lists a 400 V supply for TANNER MDE; the electrical connection is confirmed during selection.

TECHNICAL OVERVIEW

MARK TANNER MDE electric air heater

An axial-fan electric space heater for permanent installation. Horizontal discharge and adjustable louvres direct air towards the occupied area; a wall bracket is optional.

Feature TANNER MDE
Nominal power options 6 · 9 · 12 · 15 · 24 · 30 · 42 · 51 kW
Electrical supply 3 × 400 V + N + PE · 50 Hz (three phases, neutral and protective earth)
Airflow 800–6,495 m³/h depending on model; free air intake and discharge.
Operation and control External selector for fan-only, low or high heating. External thermostat connection.
Temperature control Overtemperature protection and a run-on thermostat that keeps the fan operating after heating stops.

A fixed electrical connection is required. Power and airflow depend on the selected model; fan-only operation does not provide an outdoor air supply. Model-specific current, sound and installation dimensions are listed in the technical manual.
